People are naive if they think statements or apologies from idols are actually written by them

Some idols actually do write their apologies though a lot don't. It does have to get past output cordies, PR people, the CEO if needed but sometimes not and other staff.

Fans even take jokes at face value. Thinking of something that occurred at the beginning of a survival program right now. Fans still take it seriously. It was a joke! I know some jokes don't translate to other cultures, but seriously...

what about handwritten apologies? somebody writes them for idols or what? its quite shocking to me, han from stray kids apologized for his racist/fatphobic/xenophobic rap and i just cant believe it wasnt sincere.....

I don't think about it as saying that it's not sincere, more that whatever they want to write is probably reviewed and approved by the company PR team. The PR team will want to make sure that the message comes across the way they want it to. The way I see it happening most often is that either the idol submits to the PR team what they want to say, and it gets reviewed and edited, or the PR team provides the idol with the basic bullet points that they want covered.

Then the idol handwrites the message and it, most likely, gets reviewed again before posting. Hand writing it makes it seem much more genuine and personal.

When someone suddenly sounds like Shakespeare and uses law terms you definitely know it was a lawyer or someone from the pr department who either changed the original apology or wrote it under that idol’s name
