Some have acted (bet you didn't know Solar and Moonbyul have been in dramas--Moonbyul twice), but none of the girls are anywhere near Suzy or Yoona's level.

Why do you think that is?

Irene could have been but she got into a scandal

Jisoo's going the acting route but bp is a successful group so she will have to do both, can't commit fully to acting

I don't even know any big 3rd gen actresses. I thought Irene and Joy were in some shows and movies but I don't even know if those got big. The only big show I can name is Snowdrop but even Jisoo isn't even that big of an actress.

she won awards for Best Actress and also for Best Couple for this role

and also remember about WJSN Bona, she also already won multiple awards for best new actress, and excellence award

the future is bright for these two

Because the music market has grown and becoming an actress therefore is less appealing. Mostly mid ranking to nugu groups will be attempting to do that.

Two notable mentions:

Alice Sohee has been getting a lot of attention for her role in a drama.

Look at BP - they all pretend to sing and dance. Really successful group. Just sayin'

Seojong is the prominent one (not just Business Proposal, but also Uncanny Counter as well).

Jisoo IMO will get big in acting. Contrary to what others have said, I thought she was good in Snow Drop and I'm looking forward to her next drama (zombie show called Influenza)

3rd gen overall was more focused on group activity over solo work unlike 2nd gen.

There's less stand out everything including soloists, variety stars and actresses

Top groups don’t need to turn to acting anymore cuz the l’émulsifiante Industry is now sustainable the only one who are turning to acting are groups from mid tear companies and nugu groups like dia,clc, gugudang…

It's highly possible I've seen dramas and not realized it was a 3rd gen idol.

I remember I saw a drama with the one Momoland member who did the killing part during the bridge of Bboom Bboom, and I didn't even realize it until I looked up the cast after finishing the drama. I think her name is Yeonwoo?

I know there are some 3rd gens acting here and there, but Jisoo is going to need bigger projects if she wants to get to Yoona/Suzy/IU level

Now that I know she was the female lead in Business Proposal, I couldn't agree more. She'll need multiple dramas of that quality and popularity to rise to the top.
