Why there are so much complains about Babymonster?

Their niche might be the same but BP music is a couple of levels superior, in both music production and MV production

We can see BP as an improvement other 2NE1 sound and concept, with BP being reminiscent of late 2NE1 (Crush mostly)

Baemon looks like a clear downgrade

Blackpink’s debut was a lot better and more unique even (even tho it’s 2ne1 inspired)

Babymonster’s debut was nothing new and not good either. The members also don’t stand out in it

I complain because they arent what i expected them to be

Baemon can do much better, people don't complain about bp releasing shit songs since 2020 is because nobody has any good expectation from them anyways

I think it's mostly just because of high expectations, the song was not that good, even if it got better after some listenings. I got good vibes from the groups and think they have a high chance to do something good with the right songs and it's a bit intresting to see a YGE group with more than the 4 member formula they have had with 2NE1 and BP.

I liked early BP, but I'm disappointed in late BP and the kind of song they have done last couple of years. 2NE1 at least had some more variation to their songs and not so heavy in hiphop compared to the late BP songs. I hope Babymonster don't go to heavy with the hiphop style of music and put in a bit more pop and EDM flavour to their songs.

Cause the whole EDM stuff is just boring now, same with the girl crush concept. It's been done by BP and 2ne1 already. Babymonster is not unique and their debut song was boring. That's why people are complaining cause their tired of the same stuff from YG.

Yeah idk why neither, the members are really talented and the song is boppy also even if it sounds outdated

It was a good enough song, but YG didn't fuily commit to promoting it. I mean akmu got 392k uls on Melon recently.

Globally they did pretty good for a debut. I think they almost got into the Spotify Global charts, which one of the presumed top new girl groups was not able to in a recent comeback, so I guess they are in front of that group.
