I wanted to use laughing reaction emoji on their post but decided against it. Yge has had a rough time for a while, i didn't want to rub salt into the wound. Being a yge company stan has been endless struggle

for almost 10 years straight only the big3 dominated others had no chance winning a daesang (until bts) so I kinda enjoy the status quo being fliped

I'm mean they did nothing this year and as a group had no relevance in the Kpop scene this year. Why did they win?

Because they are the only real worldwide icons in kpop

It's the same as Twice being the only girl group to win Worldwide fan's choice Top 10 while being the most irrelevant girl group this year even after having a comeback. BTS were at least the most streamed group even during their hiatus year lol.... Not to mention having the most GAON digital points, most views on YouTube amongst the boy groups.

But yeah actually they did release an OST & a single this year hence got nominated and won the voting. Simple.

SM: very publicly shat the bed with its leadership crises; delayed comebacks and wasted precious promo time

YG: essentially MIA except for Jisoo and late late BM

JYP: had a pretty good year

Kakao Ent: also had a good year

Is “ pretty good” good enough to sweep?

I wouldn’t worry too much, good songs are eternal but business is unpredictable
