except now bp are yg's biggest moneymakers now. at least they had bigbang still very active, and winner & ikon were pretty fresh when 2ne1 was on hiatus

I would 100% agree with you EXCEPT by how much The Album sold. CFs/shows make more for the artist and requires no investment by the company (like producing an album) so that’s why they are good/easy money.

Big money makers for companies are concerts, but those aren’t happening and digital event take a lot of investment with SO much less attendance/money you’d get for a physical event, so what’s the point.

After that, it’s just Albums. Now if your selling only 300k, that’s good but probably not incentive to make more. But if your selling 1 mil..... With most album money going to the company.

I think YG sees the girls differently now, but i could 100% be wrong and they just prefer a music-lite management style.

Don't mind. I prefer them to establish strong individual works. Rosé's success is pretty telling of how their individual fan support have grown. Can't wait for Lisa and Jisoo to establish that even further.
