What is the reason of NCT 127 and GIDLE new albums low sales?

I don't know about SM acts but for (G)I-dle it could be because it's an English EP none of the producer line are getting royalties from?

i'm not sold on this whole full eng album thing. glad gidle got it out of the way already

my nctzen timeline is full of people complaining they can't find nct's album anywhere i havent looked into it deeply since i never buy albums on the time they actually come out

I used to have a controversial opinion about NCT 127 and their last comebacks seems to confirm my beliefs

But anyways

NCT fans are weary of so many releases. There was NCT Dream in July, NCT U in August, Riize last month (let's be real, their fandom is basically NCTzens) so they are mostly broken and skipping this NCT 127 album

sm never stocks enough albums on release day for some reason, you'll have ""low sales"" but everyone complaining that its sold out. it happens like every time, just give it a few days for nct and u'll see some sort of a rise

Gidle bars aren't supporting an album with no credits.

Also that's the Hanteo sales - it's a western aimed release by a non-korean label and primarily available in the US. Of course they won't sell much in Korea.

Isn't that way lower than the last cb of nct 127? there has to be a reason..

Gidle bars are being stupidly shortsighted then, it's their money of course, but how is a group like Idle supposed to expand their horizons if their fans wont support them? Was this whole English language push something that Cube forced on Idle? Or was it something that Idle wanted to do as well?

Did the album chart on the BB200? 60k for Hanteo wouldnt be too bad if it was supported by good BB200 numbers like 50k units or whatever would be considered good for a rising 4th gen GG here.

The former.

Not many are happy about it. It would have been fine with just 'I do' as digital single or something, but focusing on the US market when most of your fans are in Europe, SEA, China and Korea just seems like a waste of time

Then the tracklist came with no credits and people started cancelling orders or organizing returns, people and groups that usually did GO's (Group orders) in the US were not doing them for Heat etc.

Fans want idle to grow - but they don't see this as Idle. What's the point of dropping music from all these western producers when it's not Idle's core sound?

The Core KR releases were doing perfectly fine growing Idle's international reach, each comeback going higher and higher both in spotify Monhtly ULs, global YT charting and spotify charting success. This 88rising lark just is.... a waste of everyone's time.

Less might be more for NCT at this point. 127 has probably peaked already. We also have Riize waiting in the wings as SM's fresh new 4th gen BG.

Didnt NCT debut in 2016? Could be the time for SM to consolidate and focus on Dream and Riiize. 300k is enough for 127 to be financially viable but i'm sure SM would rather make a bigger ROI with Dream and Riize comebacks.

don’t fight the feeling was their best selling album too back in 2020 and that had about no hype around it. And members were not even all there.
