Like look at my profile at the side literally made all 3 Day6 moving badges and the Xdinary Heroes badge I think I can do a pretty good job making one if they allowed me I'll do it for free
I want to point out that while I'm sure it is well-intentioned that the people in this thread offer to make badges to take the any pressure off of staff having to make the badges, it is fraught with many of the same issues as having staff do it - someone not thinking they are good and/or that they could do it better.
It is the process of going through several rounds of voting, dealing with sometimes very strong opinionated personalities, and all the strife that goes with it that I personally find mentally exhausting. Not that I am a fan of making the successive threads, listing all the badges for vote either, but removing this process seems unfeasible - many are still familiar with how we used to do it, all the rules we used to have. Ironic that the initial badges offerings were made by one person and it was take it or leave it - but we can't go back to that.
And then of course, it is staff that have to put these badges in the system and make them available for purchase - no one else can do that.
After what happened with the Aespa offerings, I'm not sure we can re-implement these short of the long process staff used to have and none of us have time for that. It's not just making the badges - it's making everyone "happy" and what is the point of introducing something that will cause bad blood between our users?

I remember when I was doing suggestions for badges on old version of forum and there was always like
14 versions of badges for 1 member
that doesn't make sense, even 3 is way too much
the best idea would be to just crop them from recent concept photos if they are suitable
for example
I believe we've already talked about this, the more options you give people the weirder decisions they will make, it's same like with smartphones, or PC parts, or even clothing, when you give people 10 options for badges for 1 member then suddenly babo's will vote for the photo on which member looks like

I agree with everything you said.
The process seems to cause a lot of negativity and stress on staff members.
I wish there was a way that users can independently go through the process themselves to take the hassle off you guys (maybe make it purchasable in the akorn shop) and ideally make it kind of expensive so not everyone can abuse it.
But of course that opens up a lot of ambiguity and work, it also could lead to problems.
I wish there was a better solution but I understand your position on this completely.

I'm not sure you're understanding her, it's not about options and what you give people, it's about the process, making people happy etc. There's a lot of behind the scenes stuff and a lot of things that happened that people don't see. Again they tried to do something nice without voting and using something recent and that went wrong, why do that again and deal with what they dealt with and the negative comments people still say?
It has nothing to do with voting, time, or options and that's exactly what she said.
One of my groups never got the badges they deserved even after we paid for the petition and were ready to go. We got somehow skipped and now we will never get them, there's groups like Infinite who deserve badges and we'll never see it, so many of my 'nugu' fave's that I feel deserve badges and I can't do anything about it. Unless this changes in the future it's best to stop hounding poor Ves over it.
