That's only because JYPE never bought any ads for Jihyo.
For example if you look at Aespa Better Things which was released same day as Jihyo, it currently has 54 million views and only about 635K likes. Jihyo has 13 million views but about 1.1 million likes.
If you also look at the weekly youtube chart which excludes ad views, Jihyo for that week actually has more views than Aespa. If JYPE used ads for Jihyo like almost every other girl group does, she easily would have 50 million+ views. I just find it weird why JYPE didn't use any ads for Jihyo.
She did well in the international charts.
But Korea has really turned their backs on Twice

Theyโve put out two English songs and their mature one did worse. Jihyoโs single has been out nearly a month and has 16m streams on Spotify. At some people will realise itโs not the music itself for particular groups but the genre as a whole thatโs growing and driving new peaks/achievements

so i guess unless you're a hardcore twice fan it didn't made you want to replay it as much than Nayeon "POP" for example
+ POP was a song who was kinda an answer to people who wanted twice bright old sound again, Jihyo song is too much like Twice actual sound and it doesn't really work for them, there was no real need for this song
I actually like Jihyo solo song but yea i agree with you, it is not that kind of song im expecting from Twice. It is in the vibe of I cant stop me but more bland. Her vocal is decent though
Nayeon pop is more catchy and for that, just like you pointed out, thats what the public associated twice with the most.
Twice musically are significantly more well regarded now then in the past. Their music just isnโt catchy as much which is what the gen public expects from Kpop groups. Their current sound works for them fine.
This is true and also brought them new fans, especially in the West
