Display MorePeople that like Kitsch confuse me.
Kitsch was already a knockoff of that already terrible "can't decide on a genre" type song AESPA unfortunately made manifest.
"Let's have no song cohesion or central theme, feel, or sound" and "switch it up" 72 times per song because we have no ability to delineate a singular idea.
"Just throw it all in we'll tell em it's edgy or artistic or free jazz inspired or whatever".
IVE While usually absolutely Top notch.. missed the mark with Kitsch.
Thank the Lord they followed it up with the absolute greatness of I Am.
Saved the day.
lol wut? There arent 72 switchups, it just has a massive Teddy style drop in the chorus, everything else is normal. Of course, one has to execute the drops so that it appeals to folks instead of turning them off and that's easier said than done.
Teddy makes those drops seem effortless, everyone hates on BP for them, but the songs with the biggest drops all end up to be chartbusting megahits like D4, KTL, HYLT, etc. Meanwhile, Kitsch's drop was a lot less welcoming it appears i'm not the only one that had issues with it.
