f(x) "Electric Shock" concept paved the way for NewJeans

I wish fx had paved the way for NJ in terms of their music, not just their aesthetics. This was a bop, esp with this star studded lineup.

..Been thinking about her creative branding impact lately and wonder what it would have been like if SM gave her the same level of creative leadership that she has now.

after I saw that I honestly thought fx would do some sort of collab like
f(x) feat. anna kendrick or something lol

I’m so happy they’re nepotistic in SM and that she got to be her own CEO honestly. Like thank god she has creative freedom because NewJeans lyrics arent exactly saying much, but i do think that the artistic vision and the theme/story of each concept is sooo much deeper and does add a little something extra to NewJeans that, imo, no other group has ever come close to. (Other than LOONA)

I’ve observed the outcomes of a few creatives working with SM. It appears they end up stifling even the most gifted ones. I think had she been given the space to lead, like she is doing now, f(x), Red Velvet, and Aespa would be several stratospheres higher right now.
These are the kind of historical lessons agencies are failing to learn from.
