Very good song. I enjoyed that. But can this even be considered kpop if the whole thing was in English?

Maybe more like 80 percent. Local pop is at 99.9 percent though so i'll take what i can get from Kpop lol.
I agree with this just like another user said. I too will take kpop 9 out of 10 times over anything else.
But just because local pop is horrible it doesn't mean kpop is automatically great. It just makes it more tolerable lol

I so agree with that, with Twice being the exception. Their songs are repeat worthy imo.

welp to what some people is hot trash to other people is the greatest treasure. Not everyone has the same taste. Just because you find 92% of kpop songs ass doesn't mean other people do, but on another note parasocial relationships and visuals do contribute greatly to a groups success and popularity.

I just think about 90% of all current music is not for me, regardless of country of origin…it’s ok. I’ll take the 10%…

And it's been this way since the 90s and kpop knew it. That's why they knew they had to rely on looks and selling fake boyfriends and girlfriends to fans emotionally just to stay in business.
Just a random thought that popped in my head and I felt would make a free education for yall.
You just need to get them hook.
Hybe business model is a perfect example of how is not about the music. Eventually they'll be making more money with the weverse and merchandise than with albums sales and concerts.
