Am I the only one who finds cafe outings with friends boring?

it's not sth I do regularly but sometimes I really need a long heart to heart session with my beastie. Good coffee and pastry help.

Yes I agree. It’s good for a time to time or deep conversation thing. But this is one of the more common forms of outings with friends. Now it’s getting old.
I need ideas

I love going on hikes in summer, ski in winter

You should suggest things to them that you like to do then!

I have, and they have refused for various reasons. Maybe I should try more, but now I’m hesitant.
I will try again though

Keep at it nicely - maybe they'll take a chance.

Are your group of friends considered active? Or are you the only active person?
I have some friends that are active and some friends that are like me, we're OK with chilling at a cafe and etc. However we do make times to hike, outing, trips, and other activities. So it's a good healthy balance for everyone. If your friends are non-active, then it might be a bit difficult to convince them. But you should try nonetheless.
'Hey, we should xx. This place has a shop we can stop by afterwards' Etc. So this would include an activity PLUS a cafe nearby for them to stop by. This is how I usually pitched it, so everyone gets an activity they like. If all else fail, there's nothing wrong with doing things alone.
The other way to look at it is, they have probably done alot of activities by themselves or with other people already, and so when they meet you they are tired and only wanted to stop at cafes and talk.

There are some cafe places that come with board games or other activities like axe throwing
start by suggesting those places and then expand
otherwise sometimes you have to find new friend groups for hobbies you want to try and there is nothing wrong with that. I have an active set of friends and not so active ones.

Confession time: I only moved back to the country a few years ago and everyone already has their friends groups and social circles, so it almost feels like I got left behind. But it’s much better now. 😊
This looks like great ideas.

I love hikes. Sometimes I become really enthusiastic about it with my non-active friends and they will politely listen. Lmao
