Especially among the younger “woke” generation, who say they are feminists but their biggest enemies tend to be women. First of all, the idea that men and women can’t be together goes back to patriarchal traditions. Historically they literally castrated boys because they couldn’t stand the idea of female singers performing with men. Now in Korea, it is young females who are trying to devolve society to those dark days of patriarchy.

QuoteThe use of castrati in religious ceremonies dates to at least the third or fourth century. Castrati were used frequently in Byzantine church music, and this practice spread into the West, particularly southern Italy and Sicily. By the sixteenth century, the Roman Catholic Church had long condemned the practice of castration and thus employed children and falsettos for soprano parts in its choirs (women being prohibited from performing on stage). Castrati were commonly used in church choirs in Spain, however, and by 1599, the Vatican had begun to allow castrati in the Papal choir. By 1625, the pope had replaced all the Papal Choir's falsettos with castrati, who were now lauded as "natural" sopranos.

Who Were the Castrati? • Opera For AllA look at the castrati in music, exploring the macabre history of the practice of castrating young boys in order to preserve their voices.www.operaforall.co.ukQuoteThe idea of castrating a prepubescent boy to preserve his voice today is – rightly – considered horribly cruel and even barbaric. Yet it has a long tradition in music and the last castrato died in 1922.
The practice in music goes back to the mid-16th century – though castration itself has a much longer history – when women were banned from performing on the stage. Higher voices were needed to play female and young roles; boys took the parts instead, but children grow up and boys’ voices break. It was very expensive to train the youngsters only for them to move on. Castration arrested this development, freezing the voice as a child’s.

Also I'm not equating what happened in the past with the present. It's just an example of how extreme patriarchal society was, and that us today should reject all manifestations of patriarchy, including misogyny.

I can attest to this. Alas a broken brain can still type
