I haven't watched their shows either myself but I do think just because most the girls are underage, that the show has to be childish... they're teenagers! It's not black and white, a show can be catered to teenagers. But like I said, no idea how childish their shows are, just kinda a response to the points made above

The point isn’t that this show has to be childish. It’s that it should not be surprising if it is, like op is acting as if it’s unfathomable why kids act like kids. These two points aren’t the same thing
