Lol be brave and join us
I mean... I wish I could?
It just that I'm not there when 3rd gen gg were born and trendy
and for 4th gen maybe the only one that could fitting is aespa, but that is just one group.
izone is short lived (and I even stanning them when they are already disbanded),
I didn't follow Gidle when they are on their "monster rookie" era,
and I didn't follow itzy at all.
And ive, le sserafim and newjeans are kinda new, so... yeah I'll just see what the other says first
To me usually 3 years
1 year? For most groups that's 2 or 3 comebacks, should be enough to establish themselves well enough to not be just trendy
2-3 years
After that u gotta figth kpop age stigma that applies not just to the group members but to the own group age
well it seems that trendy doesn't have the same meaning for me than it do for other people
for me you being trendy just mean that your popular, so you can be trendy for 2 years or 10 years imo
at the moment people are invested in you, ready to buy your album and you are still topping the chart and be part of the discussion you are trendy
so i don't really think there's really an expiration date to being trendy
A year. If you can still maintain your popularity for longer than A 1 hit wonder or a successful year then you either progress to being actually legit popular or return back to nugu
1 billion years
For as long as the public constantly brings them up, and follows the trends they show throughout their music.
99% of kpop groups are fads in South Korea as that’s how the genre is built up. Come in young, put a shit ton of music out in a short amount of time and then fall into irrelevancy. Only a few retain a strong legacy and cultural impact to move past being a trend/fad. If you can’t successfully traverse different genres then I got some bad news as a kpop group
Trendy as long as the trend here, it can be 1 month, 1 year or 10 years, doesn't matter
