Why assume they’ll compete with bp? They could have producers other than teddy, they could be sporty girl crush or more hip hop or more like itzy. Just like bts/txt they don’t have very different images imo but txt managed to get the fandom and compete with groups from the same gen there is also a lot of army supporters which could happen with blinks. If they give up girl crush now they’ll have to wait at least 4 years until they debut another gg to not end up like winner/ikon situation and I don’t think yg will give up one of their strong suits and risk other ggs like Aespa dominate

Until people stop that behaviour, no, they won't stop releasing "cute" concept groups/members (see also Rose, even though she's not in a cute concept group she has a cute concept, and people fall for it).

We are talking strictly concept here. Even if members are more on the cute side offstage. They don’t manage to pull the fanboys like cute concept ggs (snsd twice Apink) so I’ll say the consumers are aware of the differences
