    So basically MOONCHILD is a five member Japanese girl group, who's co-produced by LDH Japan and HYBE Labels Japan.


    They'll release their debut EP "Delicious Poison" on May 3rd.

    Now MY opinion on them so far is that they look good asf.

    Of course they not anything special visually, but I like how their styling isn't giving "nugu" lol.


    Far as in the songs, FIRST listen to all 3, I was like "ehh its alright".

    But by my 2nd listen, they had me hooked.


    Now I'm not really into Japanes music, but I can see myself listening to them and HYBE Japanese boy group &TEAM.

    Are they really a Hybe group tho? Cuz Hybe groups are usually affiliated to their main channels like it was with their new Japanese boy group. This group is neither on Hybe main Youtube channel, nor in their site.

    NO,

    HYBE does NOT handle them musically, image wise, or Artist management wise.


    And the reason they aren't trending all around right now, and don't have a bunch of followers on social media already and etc, is because they aren't a group that "debuted directly from under HYBE".


    Cuz if they did, that would make a HUGE DIFFERENCE, no matter if they are a Korean group or not.


    But yeah, HYBE just made a deal with their company I believe, kinda to have their name attached to a Japanese girl group.

    They didn't necessarily debut anything though.

    They are not from Hybe


    They belong to CDL Entertainment and Sony Music Japan. People also reffer to them mainly as a group of LDH Records since LDH (full Love Dream Happiness) hosted the survival show the group was found with and cause CDL is a sublable of LDH.

    Thats the CEO of CDL Entertainment, Hiroomi Tosaka. He is member of the boygroup Sandaime J Soul Brothers and opend up CDL (full Claire de Lune) was opend up in 2021 as Hiroomi's own company and belongs to LDH since Hiroomi is signed with LDH. At first Hiroomi only signed himself to the company. He debuted in 2010 with his boygroup but made his solo debut in 2017 under his real name Hiroomi Tosaka. In 2021 when he had opend his own company he changed his stagename into OMI. Around half a year later he than announced he wanted to scout a girlgroup.

    After announcing to form a girlgroup LDH held a survival show called "icon Z ~ Dreams for Children" on Japanese TV from December 2021 to November 2022. At first it started to quit bug the people who were waiting for the girlgroup since it was known that Ruan auditioned for the show, she was known before trought having worked as soloist in Japan and Korea since 2018 and cause the survival show ran longer than most other survival shows.


    However the show running for this long only resulted into the fact that a guy called EXILE SHOKICHI heard of Hiroomi's idea with the girlgroup and so wanted to find a boygroup too with the show. The first 6 months of the show were used to find a boygroup called LIL LEAGUE who than debuted in January of 2023.

    The girlgroup audition-part was later on shown from July to November of 2022.


    But in the meantime Hiroomi (however) thought he would help his own project (which it did not) by working on a song with Suga of BTS

    As the girlgroup was found people were quit mad that they didn't announced a debut date or a name for thr group right away, but thats typical for LDH since they never have more than 1 rookie group in pre-debut openly announced at the same time and LIL LEAGUE hadn't debuted. When LIL LEAGUE debuted in January they than announced MOONCHILD in February.


    The group is also as far it looks quit different to their female senior groups.
