look we can blame white supramacy for a kot of things but the issue of colourism predates it with idea of pale coming for richer people who don't work outside than the poor farmers this a long standing issue, same is the same in India colonialism was bad but colourism has been going on before look at the caste system usually the darkest skinned people where the lowest, I am not trying to minimise colonialism but it experated an issue already exist than created at least in some countries

People are allowed to be attracted to what they're attracted to, it's not that deep. Ever. Are there historical/cultural/societal reasons as to why certain preferences develop? Sure. But it doesn't make anybody a fetishist, a racist or any other kind of "ist" for liking what they like.

i think its not only resticted to korean idols and them simping about mediocre looking white guys.

western art, classic music, culture, european castles, technology like cars from bmw, or society like european welfare systems also find many admirer in eastern asian countries.

its partly two ways. korea and japan also getin more respected compaired to other countries.

even if there are lotes of (deserved) reservations towards kpop, thats not the case for k2 or k9.
