You should check now. Remember that Celebrity had a huge headstart due to IU's reputation, while Next Level was a slow burning viral sensation that was overshadowed by Butter in the first month. Next Level is like Spring Day on steroids. I think it's about 100M digital points ahead of Butter and only like 70M digital points behind Celebrity.
Regardless though, nobody really talked about Celebrity (which i loved by the way), while Next Level took Korea by storm.
Not too many people talk about Lee Jieun's songs since it is like a walk to the park.

Nobody really ever talks about IUs song because shes a constant and its expected she will always hit #1, theres no surprise or much to talk about there, but people will (naturally) mostly talk and discuss the new kid on the block thats performing way above expectations, especially idol groups.
Anyway, i went ahead and checked as you suggested...You bring up gaon points as if they are close, but at this stage almost two years later they arent really, the weekly gain difference is just too small to make much of a difference
Comparing its 87th week since release (week by week as far as there is comparable data from next levels release):
Next level: 3,525m (1,116,076,709 total)
Celebrity: 5,828m (1,139,739,081 total)
At current weekly score (with celebrity being four months older) and assuming they both maintain the exact same score indefinitely (it wont), it would still take Next level 175weeks or 3,3 years to pass by celebrity.
Comparing the 617th daily ul from release for respective song on melon:
Next level: 39332 (120,158,477 total)
Celebrity: 89889 (125,079,995 total)
At current daily ul (with celebrity being four months older) and assuming both maintain the exact same ul indefinitely(it wont), it would still take Next level 3994 days (10,9 years) to overtake celebrity.Going by historic data of what we know of IU songs, her songs in general are more likely to still be charting years after release than anyone else, with a few exceptions.
Out of all the songs released in 2021 so far, celebrity has the most uls, the highest digital score, the most paks, and the most time spent at #1 (tied with stay), most number #1 on different charts etc. By basically all objective chart metrics, celebrity is the biggest song of 2021. It also, contrary to popular belief, beats next level in longevity.If there's any song to beat celebrity from 2021 in the long run when it comes to longevity it will be traffic light, which is currently outperforming both of the above in daily uls(20k+) and weekly digital score
