Do you open your k-pop CD's?

Yep. I personally like looking at the photo books a lot, not as interested in photocards

-
yes. always.

i'm in disbelief that people don't open them tbh it's so much fun to me
i tear mine open like a christmas present. i put the photocards in an album, i spend time looking through the photobooks and go "waaaoooowww!! so pretty!!" then i wrap everything up in bubble wrap to go into storage until i have a place to display everything

Yeah ill be honest, im quite surprised myself, they hold no value so theres no reason to keep it in pristine condition.
But I know also from experience in the past that I usually don't look back over the stuff like this so now just sitting in the original box it ships with because I have nowhere to put it lol

Of course, all the interesting stuff is on the inside.

This will make some folks laugh. I buy just for the CD's. After the first look through I stop caring about everything but the CD. So if I open them I have to deal with all the shit that falls out of them. So I only open 1 copy of each or the special edition because I want to know what makes it special. I'm weird, I know.

Well, there are people who buys them and then throws them in the trash bin

Why did this make me think of the guy who got to pay a fine 3 years ago after he trew 400 CDs in the forest of Fukuoka in Japan just cause he wanted to have enough CDs to be able to join a special event you can only go to if you have some random cards from the CDs ... jesus people are so wastefull

I answered 'No' - because there is nothing to open.
Regarding my music collection I'm a Digital Native - I buy only digital audio. Apart from my favorite bands/soloists I often buy only the songs from an album that I like.
I know that this is unusual for an older guy like me. Other music fans in my age love their huge Record and CD collection. But I prefer digital music nowadays. It can be archived/backuped easily, I can create playlists of the songs the way I want. I can hear my music anywhere, anytime. I don't need to buy a complete CD when I only like two or three songs on it. I don't need to rip CDs first to get MP3s of the songs. And often digital albums are cheaper, so I get a few albums for the price of one CD.
I know that K-Pop listeners love their Special Editions with all the posters and photocards of their idols. I'm absolutely fine with this - enjoy your passion for music!
But please don't save on the wrong place. For example you need good and healthy food - don't have low-quality meals, because you want to buy another edition of a special album. No K-Pop group in this universe (not even Blackpink) is worth such self-neglect.
Ok, it happened. I sounded like your parents.
