Itzy and aespa. I would say StayC or weeekly but they're considered 2nd tier groups (not as popular but not necessarily nugu)

But the 3rd gen trinity was undoubtedly Blackpink, Twice, and Red Velvet

I feel like even though IZ was super popular, their peak had passed and by the time aespa debuted. I got into KPOP in 2020 and I didn't see people talking about IZ as much as aespa or Itzy.

That's amazing. People thought they weren't going to recover from the rather recent scandal (that feels like so long ago) but they ended up coming back even stronger
