we should all make a collaborative effort and tag a new user a week or something and encourage them to post
There was something similar on another site I was on, in the Newcomer section they started a thread to tag new users and tell them to introduce themselves and why they joined, few people responded though

Interesting! It works for Google Chrome. So that could be part of it; since I know most people just stick to one primary browser.

maybe it's like 1 in a thousand (kinda like an ad) you tag all the new users and maybe a few will end up posting and even fewer become permanent memebers

There is not really 44 guests, if you load into many threads and go to page 2, you will see 10 to 40 guests
"now viewing the page", but these are not counted into the total views and arnt peopel -
I've decided I find it more interesting the people who have had accounts for 6+ months (or in some cases, years) but no posts. You clearly find this place interesting! Say hi! The forums are way more fun when you have friends.
