what are positives & negatives of being a kpop fan?

positive: happiness. My bias group upload a lot of content. I wake up every morning happy, checking updates and new content.

Negatives: trash fandom. (Not all, but most)

i feel like all the positive parts can easily turn into the negatives too and vice versa

positive: good music

Negative: fanwars

Positive: We can learn from the hardship that the idols went through

Negatives: fanatics, obsessed, delusional

Negative: Body-shaming, calling idols ugly, fanwars, scandals for just about anything

No offence but there is nothing positive about kpop fans when the negative overshadows the positives.

Positives: Good catchy music, fun visual experience, amazing dancing

Negatives: Expensive, most fandoms suck, most companies REALLY suck

positives: discovering a variety of music and concepts.

negatives: all the racism, controversies, and seeing your group disband or have a member be kicked out.

Positives: AKP

Negatives: AKP

Positive - Being exposed to a different culture, because osmosis is happening whenever you watch K-pop related contents or engage with it. The language, age hierarchy, food, history, etc. You get a little bit of everything.

Negative - potential body-images issues, especially for fans who are younger and/or have low self-esteem

positive : good music, beautiful people to look all day, entertaining

negative : it reduce my bank account

Positive: relieves you from boredom. good music.

Negative: Too much fighting between fandoms and competition. Distracts you from work/school

Positives - Listening to a different genre of music. Good quality music from my biases.

Negatives - having to put up with tedious fanwars. Fans going ape over anything. Possessive fans who won’t let idols date.
