THANK YOU.
Like I have no problem with Stray Kids, but realistically speaking and bias aside, as of right now, all they have is album sales and fans mass streaming their music videos on YouTube.......... That doesn't impress me AT ALL.
Especially when they not even charting on Korean Charts or even entering Billboard Hot 100.
A #1 on Billboard 200 can easily be manipulated by U.S fans, who buy a bunch of album units. Which is what happened in Stray Kids case.
Them gaining 3 million sales isn't impressive when their charting and streaming numbers don't match. Nor does people seem to care about their music apart from their fandom or some kpop stans.
Which is why I think they'll be big, but not BTS big, maybe EXO or something, if that.
TXT I see them being a Got7 big or Seventeen big, same for Enhypen.
TRAINEE A as of now I think has the biggest potential overall. Musically, which I know will be good, and image wise..everything is there.
Enhypen already surpassed Seventeen on Spotify and in the Western market, the album sales will follow. GOT7? Are you serious rn? lmao

i don't think you mean it in a bad way, but i don't think you realise how immense bts actually are in the US. not just announcing 4 stadium concerts a few days/week ahead & selling out in minutes while turning whole cities, like LA, into bts town, but also on every other platform. BTS is the MOST STREAMED GROUP (no kpop & no boy group, just group) and #10 MOST STREAMED ACT worldwide on spotify. MOST STREAMED ACT on youtube. They are the MOST FOLLOWED group on almost every platform too. they have performed & won many credible awards at literally every prestigous western award show (AMA, BBMA, grammy,..)- not just in the kpop or metaverse category, but awards like AOTY over TS, Ariana,... they have multiple hot100 #1's, 5 GRAMMY NOMS (something even huge western artists like Selena Gomez don't have),... and i'm missing A LOT.
at this point saying you'll get bts' succes in the US is saying you'll get similar succes as Ariana, JB, Drake, The weekend,... because those are the acts that pull numbers similar to bts.
SKZ have shown a lot of potential & they will get far, but if even bp can't achieve bts' succes in the US after so many years, there is no way skz will.
bts released proof which killed a lot of army hype and still there was almost negative growth between the two skz releases in the US. Two #1 with almost the same sales and weaker streaming numbers. The sales increased a lot in China, where Hyunjin apparently has the highest sales of a chinese solo fanbase, poor taehyung :(.
BTS has made things seem easier for a lot of people. Armys are annoying for a reason, like someone suddenly talking about a possible grammy nomination or playing in a US stadium like they're entitled to it, just bonkers.

Stray Kids. They've been mentioned as the next BTS in nearly every market article recently. They use the next BTS modifier in the JYP 3Q write up.
https://www.inews24.com/view/1538901: Researcher Lee said, "Stray Kids, who are in their 4th year of debut, are already on their way to becoming the next BTS by announcing a dome tour in Japan and a stadium tour in the US next year.
https://news.mt.co.kr/mtview.php?no=2022111515160746132: While HYBE, a competitor, has been stagnant due to the controversy surrounding the enlistment of world-renowned K-pop star BTS, JYP Entertainment is praised for solidifying representative IPs (intellectual property rights) such as SKZ, NMIXX, and NiziU.
SKZ, who showed the most remarkable achievements, showed their spirit when all albums released this year, including the mini-album 'MAXIDENT' released on the 7th of last month, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. In addition, SKZ plans to hold a stadium performance in the US as the second K-pop boy group after BTS, and the stock market even comes up with the modifier 'next BTS'.
https://www.businesspost.co.kr…=article_view&num=296727: Stray Kids' 'Next BTS', Park Jin-young's 20-year-old wish to enter the US comes to fruition. Lee Ki-hoon, a researcher at Hana Securities, said, “Stray Kids are on their way to be the next BTS with album sales and No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
I think they are the only group right now that has a great chance and they deserve it. Their growth has been insane since debut (no help from company stans). Bang Chan (he’s the oldest in the group, Australian citizenship) doesn’t have to enlist. The next one to enlist is Lee Know who has about 5 or so more years until he has to enlist. 5 years is a long time so they have a chance to dominate especially when the top boy group will be inactive for quite some time. The timing is perfect and it also helps that they already have a super dedicated fandom compared to the rest of the 4th gen boy groups (look at the MAMA votes! they are competing with the top group neck to neck this time compared to last year). I've also seen a lot of armies converting to stays. SKZ also have more than 1 English speaker which helps with promoting in the US. As to Korea, they don’t care about boy groups except for certain groups so if SKZ can achieve BTS’ success in the US, I think Korea will just follow them as a national prestige, etc or even better they can gain more korean fans after their US success. JYP just needs to play their cards right which I’m sure he will since it has been Park Jin Young’s dream for a long time. Remember, nothing lasts forever. No group/artists can be at the top forever. Sorry, my English isn't perfect :D
do these market people know that skz is not interested in being the next bts? and will jyp ever acknowledge bts's impact, as if the success of his US label partnership isnt due to bts successes on that specific market?
also talking about how two members gave up their sk nationality and hence do not have to enlist will go down really well with the sk incels if they ever reach bts's level. or maybe the whole team gets exempted, who knows.
no group has reached 2018 bts level in the US. good luck!

I don't see it for any of them. BTS fully capitalized on that window of opportunity and good for them. That unique set of circumstances won't come up again. Arguably BTS are leaving a vacuum right now, but they are only losing a tiny fraction of their fanbase.
TXT are living a minuscule bubble of hype because they attended a western event without looking terrible. That has probably already burst. Stray Kids are at their peak. Trainee A is impossible to predict until they actually do something. I'm sure they'll break rookie pre-order records and the will-stan-for-stats demographic will get over-excited.
