When you see BTS being namedropped in certain circles that has nothing to do with music and google’s own summits using BTS as a discourse far back in 2018, that showed how relevant they were becoming.
This is comparing SK with BTS in the last 5 years along with kpop

It’s fascinating how BP are also slowly rising higher than kpop.
I also tried with One Piece but it was disappointing. It's the most sold manga ever but the peak wasn't that much
It’s overrated

In my country it's really big, trending every week.
Tbh I dropped after the Shin Sekai so it doesn't bother me
I stopped after Doflamingo
BTS's fandom is insane. What I find fascinating is that there is a fan presence everywhere, but I have never heard them on a radio. Except for the My universe song, but I would say it's more of a Coldplay merit, as Coldplay is a staple on radio. This is just weird. Actually Kpop is never played here. I heard a SNSD song once in H&M store and that's it. The only song that was legit played often and everyone knows of is still Gangnam Style.
I wonder if this will also change in time? Or are Kpop songs just not radio friendly? BTW, I live in Europe.
I said this already :
There will be many POPULAR K-pop groups after BTS. No doubt! Some even capable of breaking a few of their records but will they match or even surpass BTS' impact? That is the question and the answer is very obvious. That is why I'm never really riled up by trolls. BTS is too damn big to even feel afraid that they're going to disappear soon. When you've created an entire movement of people, you don't disappear unless these people disappear. And BTS has influenced multiple generations of people. So try getting rid of them

Have you never listened to BTS in the radio? In Spain I've listened to Boy with Luv, Dynamite, My Universe and Left &Right. And in Germany I've listened to Dynamite a lot, and the other day in a coffee shop they were playing Left&Right.
I spent most of 2020 in Germany and I used to go with one of my coworkers in the car almost daily and Dynamite played a few times in the radio, she (A 50 something year old woman) told me she loved the song.
But yes, usually radios don't play Kpop, but its because what you listen in the radios are payola lol.

I live down under and I've heard Butter, Dynamite, Boy With Luv, Dream Glow, Mic Drop etc... heaps in shopping centres, restaurants, Zara, H&M... and heck, even in my own incognito suburban sc.
Yes, they are and I don't think a couple of years in the Army is going to hurt them. They will come back as popular as ever. They transend all age groups. I'm in my 50's and like their music so that's how much impact they have. To be honest, I should've been following them from the start instead of some other hacks.
I tried with CR7, Messi and Naruto and Naruto is above while being finished on 2014
Naruto all the way
They're used to drop one group after another, I've seen it plenty in Kpop fandom. BTS will be fine, they have a loyal fandom.
