This is why they've officially changed a name even if technically it's still the same
also it's not a new info, they've already talked about it some weeks/months ago
then they've said that they are even thinking of organizing more 'award' events during a year
today they've just added this info about US being in top 5 countries which participate in voting for Worldwide fans choice

Holding it in the US doesn't mean broadcasting it in the US. It's still going to be a Korean award show.

Stadium in the US?? Without BTS, this will be the trajectory of their event...
Maybe, they'll have more audience depends on the line-up. But I doubt it will be sold-out unless a bunch of top groups will perform with special guests like popular Korean celebs to host the event--and sell the tickets at a super cheap prices. Or they make it a completely free event.

You have a good point. But somehow, if this brings a lot of hype and loads of international viewership online, the Capitalists won't sit down and watch future revenues out of the window. Kpop is huge in asian markets. Just as there is a Latin Award show, in a smaller scale than the AMA or Grammy, I won't totally take this possibility out of the picture. Anything is possible. Money talks.
Of course, that is only IF the show brings in huge viewership both local and international.

Probably they are planning around BTS return. The Faith that mama has on BTS is commendable

I'm dead at the fact that they're not even considering doing it next year or the year after. Aren't kpop groups selling out stadiums in California now? They could have held it there.
Too much a coincidence for it to be on 2025 specifically...
