Have you ever been to a concert you ended up disappointed? Kpop or not?

  • I always liked evanescence fan but couldn't go to their concert when I was a minor. My parents didn't let me. By the time I was able to go on my own, the band was different. Due to conflicts the main guitarist and keyboardist were changed. Even playing their old songs, sounded very lackluster.

    I was very disappointed

  • I went to a rock festival when I was in high school, and was most interested in seeing Buckcherry and Hinder, because they both had really popular songs at the time, but neither of them were very good performers. Buckcherry wasn't great at hyping up the crowd and the lead singer seemed kind of strung out and the lead singer for Hinder sounded like garbage.

But it wasn't all in vain. Papa Roach was at the same festival, and they were amazing performers. I've seen them two more times since, and A+ high energy every time.

  • I had to go to retreat because of Sunday School, which included a Christian concert

It was very boring and I don't remember the music at all

  • I can only think of when I was at a music festival and when I was there to check out James Woon perform and I ended up finding his music boring.

  • Went to When We Were Young and I was pretty disappointed by MCR and Paramore. I used watch MCR's concerts and festival sets on TV all the time so I was hyped af. Both bands performed extraordinary but Hailey is an awkward individual and MCR was just there ...they didn't do much so me and my friend just left halfway through

All American Rejects deserves every flower and coin on earth

  • I won these tickets to a jazz concert where they would be playing some experimental instruments and pieces. I took my mom so we could have a fun mother-daughter date with dinner and a concert. It was not what we expected. Like, we knew it would be experimental but this was straight up noise and chaos.

It was so bad, at least a third of the audience (if not more) got up and left at intermission. We'd made friends with a nice family in front of us- a mom, dad, and their high school age son who was in his marching band. The mom thought it would be a nice gift for him. They could only stick it out until intermission and they too gave up and wished us luck as they left.

My mom and I decided to grit it out until the end in case it got better. It did not get better. I would've been so mad if I'd paid money for those tickets.

I once went to a Jazz live music restaurant for dinner in NYC. Unexpectedly the pianist that night was also nominee for Latin Jazz in Grammy.

    Best dinner ever

    😭😭😭😭

The concert had a trumpet quartet and they would just blow these sustained discordant notes and like that was the entire piece. For 10 minutes. I refuse to believe they were actually following any notes on that sheet music they had.

  • I have seen several extremely disappointing acts at festivals.

Amy Winehouse at a jazz festival in the early mid noughties where she was so wasted she could barely sing a note in tune for example (and I loved her. That just felt sad, and it was before her drug issues became widely known).

The worst I ever went to as a stand-alone was Pete Docherty’s short-lived Libertines spin-off band, Babyshambles. I only went because my then boyfriend idolised him and was mates with some of his hangers on. They were hours late, they were sloppy, they were out of it and they basically only had one semi-decent song which they mangled.

Saw Aerosmith at Hyde Park in 2007 and they were phenomenal when they were on, but they went on really late again. I think they just expected that they would be able to play on ‘til whenever they wanted but the rules for street noise surrounding Hyde Park are really strict so they kept trying to play past warnings and in the end were literally cut off and stage lights shut out before they finished the set. Thst irritated me because they were so seasoned and should have known better.

Why are you describing my middle school band concerts 😭

  • i always pick my concerts very well

but the first time i went to a big one in a football stadium, i went to field zone, and couldn´t see a damn thing. Music was good thou

  • In 2014 I went to small local fun fair type event where my friends said a cool new band was playing. Super indie. I think they were called From Earth to Mars or something along those lines. They were semi popular on my area Facebook.

Anyway at the event they came on and....they sucked HARD. The lead singer could not sing at all, he sounded like he sucked 10 cocks right before. The guitarist looked like is was a prisoner on parole. The other singer or whatever he was must've either had equipment trouble or he had the weakest voice ever, he sounded like he had stage fright lol. The only decent guy was the drummer. I can't remember the songs because I was too busy laughing at them.

Luckily we only paid for the fair entry and rides, the band was an optional extra. If I even had to pay £1 to see them live I would've asked for a refund lmao.

  • Yes, Elton John in Melbourne in 1993. He didn't sing all his old songs plus he swallowed a cricket onstage as they were flying around. He had to be resuscitated backstage and that was the end of the show. We felt we had been robbed. Mind you, he had been singing for 2 and a half hours when it happened but still.

I am dying at the imagery of a cricket almost killing Elton John.
