Your favourite JIN solo song?

JIN is set to release his official single, 'The Astronaut', tomorrow on the 28th October 2022 at 1PM KST (around 12 hrs from now) which is being released just before he will enlist for his mandatory military service.

The song is being described as a gift to the fans. It is also a gift from Coldplay to Jin. It is produced by Kygo and Bill Rahko.

Even though this can be termed as his first official solo release, he has released some songs as for BTS as a solo, some unofficial songs and an OST.

Which is your favourite of the songs he has released so far? And what are your expectations from 'The Astronaut'?

Edit: I've always been a basic formula B and chose Awake but Abyss is really my fav now when listed among his other songs.

Both of those songs are too personal. There are just no wrong choices when it choosing one out of Jin's songs....

Abyss

I honestly love the existence of 'Abyss'. Jin himself has said that he wants to show only his happier side to the ARMYs so many times and these songs like 'Abyss', 'Awake', 'Tonight', etc., his music is his gateway to show his other side, his feelings. We all operate differently in this world and his way of doing things is very heart touching.....

Awake is my favorite Korean song. I was so emotional when I listened to it for the first time because I had the impression that it told the story of my life then I checked the lyrics and it was exactly that. I am not Jin biased but I anticipate his solo release the most and I love the fact that it's a collab with Coldplay.

Yeah honestly I have really high expectations from Jin for 'The Astronaut'. Because he has never not delivered with his solo songs like ever.....

I have my favourite in 'Epiphany' because I have watched it live. And I honestly can never forget the real time goosebumps and emotions I felt when he sang that song. But if I have to pick second favorite then I also might find it difficult.....

I'd say my top 3 are Epiphany, Moon and Yours. I voted for Epiphany since I love it a little bit more than the rest and is so special to me.

'Epiphany' is my most favorite BTS solo alongside 'Lie'. The things I felt when I heard those 2 songs for the first time are unexplainable.....

Awake (how he sang it, the lyrics!!, the strings....) for me but closely followed by Ephiphany and then It's Def You but Jin's voice and his ability to convey emotions as he sings is one of my favorite things about him so that's why I really do love all of his songs. This was hard!!! I'm really curious if The Astronaut will change my ranking....

I still haven't chosen my second favorite from Jin.... But 'The Astronaut' will have to be really good for it to directly go #2.....
