Well, South Korea can always ask Kim Jong Un to take over and help them.
Reunification of Koreas will be achieved, thanks to BTS.
Folks are looking into the Forbes(?) report which overstated the importance of BTS to SK economy and tearing it down for its inaccuracies and methodology - rather too late.
It was always nonsensical to think any one act can be that huge a percentage of a country's economy that too of SK with its Samsung, LG etc., but more than numbers, they were a potent symbol of cultural soft power, that is a rare commodity.

According to kpop stan logic, South Korea will be just fine without BTS and kpop will still thrive with its 324143 other groups, so why concern yourselves with what a measly million of fans will do with their money? I thought ARMY wasn't important.
On a serious note, I'm pretty sure ARMY will continue spending money until the end of 2023 with solo albums and merch that BigHit will drop. It's just funny how everyone just expects trickle-down ARMY economics once the boys are no longer promoting. Remember, BTS contributed nothing to South Korea, so it's best for them to continue not contributing.
First, let this stop, and then kpop stans talking points will stand and hold up water after 2023.
