The first 30 seconds started off so good and I'm like oh I think I'll like this song.....and then at 0:38....like wtf happened?!

Actually, now is a good time to bring this up. This song is actually made up of combined snippets of their other songs, like Maze of Memories, Scars and some more songs I forget what are. That’s why there’s a bunch of breaks and transitions involved. Also, I just find it funny how both of you had such opposite reactions.
