The Big 4 isn't a thing (HYBE won't last)

  • The Big 3 basically created k-pop and throwing in "HYBE"

why are people comparing a big corporation like cje&m/kakao to a company like SM, YGE and JYPE it's dumb

HYBE labels like source music, pledis and bighit won't last nearly as long as the big 3 and I find it offensive that people are trying to change the meaning of the big 3 to fit their own liking, but not looking at the history as to why that term exists.

  • Kpop fans always change the meaning or history of things to fit their own narrative then get pissy when you prove them wrong. It's the kpop way.

  • YG will be falling down. BP is their only saving grace and they will leave likely and got the rights of BP for their own just like Got7 did. bye bye yg bye bye

  • I consider Hybe big4 because similar to big3, all of their groups have predebut privilege, no matter which group it is they always debut with instant popularity and big sales.

  • HYBE labels are clearly doing great rn people said Cube was in the big 3 once(lol) this one makes much more sense.

  • Hybe is bigger then the "Big 3" combined. So please don't insult them and include them as the Big 4.

  • The dissonance lmao

HYBE is Big 4 when HYBE groups debut with "Big 4 privilege"

HYBE is not Big 3 when looking at the story of Kpop

    Pick one lol

  • HYBE has too many successful acts at the moment to be able to deny them a place as a BIG company.

BTS - biggest KPOP group in the world

TXT - one of the biggest, if not the biggest 4th gen boygroup

Enhypen - one of the biggest 4th gen boygroup

Seventeen - second best selling (album wise) kpop group in the world (not sure if they passed exo, above NCT if you don't add 127+Dream+U as one)

Lesserafim - controversy aside, they sold really well for a debut and they debut is still TOP30 on MelOn and doing ok on Spotify

    NEWJEANS - I don't think I need to explain

Meanwhile, YG only has BlackPink as consistent sellers and as their most popular group. BigBang is in legacy act limbo and Treasure are getting outsold by ATEEZ.

JYPig has SKZ as their current main breadwinners, Twice who despite being a hasbeen are peaking globally, ITZY who managed to get a cute korean hit and become a million dollar seller and a flop debut for their latest girlgroup.

SM doesn't need arguing for, as they have the NCT groups, AESPA as million album sellers, Taeyeon as the biggest soloist in kpop (minus IU), RV who exploded in album sales and are still doing well digitally, Baekhyun who will sell again 1 million copies once he comes from military, EXO who while is still pending at the moment sold 1 million last year. Nevermind legacy acts like GG, BoA, SuJu or SHINee (the later sold 500k in 2021 and got a cute hit, which is difficult to do for boygroups not named BTS or BigBang)

What I mean to point out, is that HYBE has more than enough credentials to have a seat at the table with other big labels.

  • Who the hell wants HYBE be part of Big 4? It's a standalone company who is bigger than Big 3 combined. LOL.

Take that Big 3 title you want and leave HYBE out of your mouth Big 3 stans, happy day for all :clown:

  • hybe stans are crazy delusional you stan a corporation how silly is that lol

in 10 years SM will still be the top company and HYBE will be filing for bankruptcy.....

The contradiction in these 2 sentences is amusing.

  • people do realise the big 3 didn't always involve the current big 3? used to be the big 2, then yg joined, then dsp fell out, then jyp joined, now there's hybe.

it's not a sacred club lmao, it's used to talk about the biggest, most influential companies, the groups that debut with huge fanbases right from the start. Yes, that includes Hybe now, obviously.
