I really enjoy most of the post IZ*ONE developments.
IVE, Lesserafim
Amazing, both groups exceeded all expectations for me and I love their music. 10/10 for both. Bonus pts to Yujin for becoming an absolute variety queen lately.
Objectively these are all very successful female solos. Yena obviously had the most success so far with multiple solo ROTY awards secured and Smiley charting very well. Yuri had 2 successful releases and her acting is generating quite the buzz recently. She also just released a kind of high profile OST for a big drama. Eunbi may not have sold and charted quite as well but by all metrics she is still a very successful soloist who stays booked and busy, doing all kinds of variety show appearances.
The important part is all 3 exceeded their debut sales with their comeback so there is an influx of new fans. It's a very common pattern that the debut sells the highest when a idol group member goes solo, this leads to slowly fading away from the public eye.
I enjoy all 3 solos a lot, these 3 are shining more than they ever did during IZ*ONE and none of them are doing anything that resembles IZ*ONEs concept or music style. They honestly belong as solos and absolutely made the right choice. All 3 release really good music.
Currently all eyes are on her solo debut. She is very talented and has quite a fanbase internationally. Not sure how popular she is in Korea but unless her company somehow fucks it up (well, they already have by taking so long) this should be a success and I'm looking forward to what she has for us! Hopefully she can join the other 3 as a successful soloist.
Not as interesting to me as they stopped being idols. Minju certainly has potential to become some kind of super famous actress. Not sure what Hyewon plans to do in the long term. I hate to admit it but when the disbandment was still recent I watched all the Youtube content Hyewon made but at some point I just stopped following her

Hitomi, Nako
To be brutally honest I don't care. I like them both but unless they come back to K-Pop it's just not interesting. Maybe that's an unpopular opinion but it is what it is. I couldn't even finish listening to one AKB48 song that people kept posting when they were center, it's not for me.

as someone who didnt really follow izone, wonyoung and yujin are obv doing the best.
im surprised by minju's popularity because she somehow stays somewhat relevant despite ending her idol career and not having started her acting career.
of all the soloists, i really only listened to their debut tracks which all of them were pretty good but not really enough to make me stan. i hear abt yena a lot so i would say shes the most popular soloist out of all of them.
chaewon and sakura are kinda surprising, i feel like all the hype sakura had went to kazuha and chaewon went from a pretty forgettable member of izone to one of the more popular members of le sserafim.
hyewon was doing pretty good at the start with her youtube thing but now the views have dropped off. i think her company should do a show again and bring in other kpop idols to help her channel out a bit. she's still gets brand endorsements and stuff so she's fine.
hitomi and nako are doing well, i just casually follow jpop so i cant say a lot but from what ive heard, theyre doing well in japan
i kinda knew chaeyeon was going to flop. kpop fans are too obsessed with visuals and going on swf ruined the only thing she had going for her but she has an album incoming so lets see

I wouldn't say Sakura has no hype anymore but I do agree that she's not the superstar people make her out to be. I think Lesserafim has a good dynamic and every member gets their spotlight except for maybe Eunchae. Lately she's been winning people over through the variety content, myself included.
Chaewon was one of the most popular IZ*ONE members in Korea and Japan though, her fancam views were actually #1 for some comebacks (Fiesta comes to mind). Don't think it's strange at all she ended up as a popular member in Lesserafim, she's very talented as an idol and has a likeable personality.

Lol not at some ppl saying Jo Yuri's acting is generating quite a buzz.
Literally no one is talking about it except for her own small fanbase, and what do you expect, of course they're gonna hype up their own fave and say stuff like "actress jo yuri" etc. Arin and Yena's own fans were hyping up their acting so much in those 2 seasons of their webdramas even though it was some of the worst idol acting we've ever seen.
Let's be real here, no one in Kdrama land is talking about her webdrama.

I mean it's not nugu for a teen web drama at least considering it was top 5 on viki for August. I would put it way above Yena's drama at least, I couldn't keep watching that one. The reason I mentioned it is she actually shows some potential for acting unlike most idol actors.
But maybe I'm a delusional bubble dweller
