In the last two or more years girl group sales have increased tremendously, where do you think these sales are mainly coming from? North America, South America, China, Europe? Is it because K-pop companies have improved their distribution abilities or K-pop is noticeably more popular in those areas?
Which market has grown a lot to explain the big increase in girl group sales?

Girl Groups decided to target fangirls instead of fanboys

I'm thinking so too because where I live I haven't seen K-pop be more popular than in say 2018, and K-pop was popular in China before but I guess Chinese people got that disposable income now

I don't think that's the main cause because whether the fanbase is mostly fangirls, a mix or mostly fanboys they've all seen their sales increase.

kpop has always been popular in China so it is surprising to see the sales increase happening now when Kpop/bulk buying is kinda banned

No, kpop was banned in china from 2016 and only from 2020 they loosened a few restrictions on kpop so fans started to buy more. I remember blackpink sales jumped from 50k to 500k from chinese bars between 2019 KTL and 2020 The Album.

the sales boom started already over two years ago- I think the pandemic and online fan signs made it even more impactful
International fans now nearly have the same chances as Kfans to interact with their faves. Simultaniously, the fandom "oblogations" like buying albums, streaming etc spread internationally as well

no it's not banned but chinese bars cannot do it openly and had to change their names as just fan accounts.
The restrictions have been more on Digital sales bulkbuying which is not allowed anymore.
