Bp tried to change direction with Lovesick girls and yes the song did well in korea but it didn't outperform their other songs for a reason.
BP are loved and known for their signature sound like D4, Kill this love, Hylt and now Pink Venom, the formula is working and it's what make them successful, no reason to change it 
I want them to go a different direction just because I want to see them do it, same reason people call for TWICE to move away from the Cute concept it would be awesome if they could and I would love to see it but if they don't they don't... what ya gonna do? they are the ones releasing the music just let them get on with it

people want bp to hop on trends likr other kpop group do every year. I remember in 2020, 80s/70s retro sound was in, and some people wanted bp to do that but I am so glad they didn't and instead went with lsg for their tt. Like if you want groups to follow trends, nothing wrong with that, but then listen to the groups who do instead of whining about bp not doing it. They will do as they please and the only opinion that matters the most is if blinks like it.
DC has been experimenting through BSides and sure why not, 17 rock infused title tracks, I would be happy for them to go cute/edm/jazz/funk/retro ya know anything else that they have already covered in their very diverse discography
Oh come on. DC title tracks follow the usual sound theyre known for. And i wouldnt want them to change that lol they experiment with the bsides..and so does BP. Thats what most groups do. At least the ones who have a rising presence in the kpop scene.

First of all I want you to remember kpop is business, believe it or not, want it or not, it's all about money. Now continue, Why would Blackpink change their music style and their formula when it works best for them and it brings the most success? It is their signature and identity. Give me one example why would they do it. I'm not stanning them because I want to hear some bubble gum pop or jazz or metal or smth like that, I like them because who they are and what they sound like. Their music brought me to them and I'm liking it. I like their swag and baddass image, I like their everything, just like other fans. Y'all acting like their discography doesn't include songs like AIIYL, Really, Ice cream, LSG, Bet you wanna, DKWTD, stay, hope not and etc.
But you all are just pressed and salty, that's what it is about. Imma bout to bring some groups for example and don't come, it's just a comparison. So we have lot's of groups who changed their concepts and literally flopped, within their fandom and outside. For example Weeekly released 'Ven para' after such a bright song as 'after school', sorry I don't want that kinda change in BP. RV is changing their concept left and right, but still their most popular and famous songs are bad boy and psycho, bet if they continued this pace all of their tracks were going to be hits, I don't want Zimzalabim Blackpink (I love RV, it's just an example). Twice changed their concept and sound after Fancy, but guess what happened? we all know (except I like after-fancy Twice more). For some groups concept change works good (BTS, Gidle). But it's not always like that, and also it depends. People are expecting Blackpink to go hard and they are doing it. So in conclusion you are all haters and that's it.
Never have I ever seen a song getting so much hate as HYLT and now you are all praising it, so it shows your true faces.

Anyway, if you guys want diversity from blackpink, listen to the albums, not just the tts and preleases/the most famous songs. If you truly care about diversity, listen to the albums, a lot of diff concepts in one place.

I wouldn't let kpop community to define music evolution, they would put r&b and ballads as what artists needs to prove that they are envolving and that is STUPID AS FUCK, so I don't think BP are stucked in one formula, because even if they have a safety structure they have broken it a lot during their career and none of the last 4 lead singles have ever sounded similar, and that is an objective thing to say.
