KPOP SONGS THAT AGED TERRIBLY

  • Honestly, i will never understand how songs can age terribly. Just cause musical trends change, does that mean we all have to be soft minded wusses who cant think for ourselves? :pepe-hips:

Why are we letting others define what we like? I like shit from the 70s and 80s ffs, i would never let musical trends determine what i like, those songs are still as fantastic as they were when i first heard em.

I mean i can understand playing a song you love so much that you get bored with it after 1000x listens, but that should be temporary. You should still be able to wait a few years and spin them back up and have a ball with them. A song should never go from awesome to "cringey", that seems to imply that you're feeling ashamed of liking them in the first place.

    Stand proud peeps :pepe-army: !!

  • There are songs that stand the test of time and songs that sound trash after a year or less

    :wellr:

  • Growl by EXO

I know many people like this song so I might be digging my own grave. It was catchy and good for like a year then it got super annoying for me since it was so overplayed. Now I have to skip it each time. Their other title tracks aged way better like Call Me Baby and Obsession.

    Eleven by IVE

Another song I got tired of fast. Love Dive is the superior song that will reign longer.

Good Boy Gone Bad by TXT

I didn't like it much on first listen, liked it on second listen, then it got worse and worse.I get the TXT boys are all trying to be emo and stuff can we go back to something like Blue Hour or Runaway? Those songs are awesome.

  • These songs idk they aren't particularly bad but they just don't sound good anymore to me

I blame Don't Recall and some of their later singles on this not aging well

I honestly don't know what this song lacked for me on later listens.

Cool concept but I think this song aged horribly as red Velvet is hyped as "being innovative" and this was pretty trendy sound wise at the time. 2017 was weird, so much tropical house and r&b, especially tropical house. I think kpop might have ruined tropical house for me from overexposure

I moderately enjoy this one, but lyrically this would reasonably cause a fuss nowadays. It also captures kpop gg 2015 very well.

I'll let the song speak for itself here. I understand trend hopping but sometimes it makes the most generic songs that become blander as the trend plays itself out more and more(and better and worse songs are made)

This song makes me cry due to cringe and I like 2nd gen songs that are campy by nature.
