Why do you think Minju turn Hybe down (and is ruining her own career)?

  • yup she did sure lesserafim had a scandal but they also managed to get a hit and are growing in popularity

minju on the other hand is getting more and more irrelevant

  • Lol clown shit :clown::clown: Kpop and Hybe fans acting like they're the center of the universe.

She's literally booked for an MBC drama Joseons Ban on Marriage with Kim Young-dae.

There aint much noise because theyre in the middle of filming. When promotion comes and the drama is airing there will be alot more noise.

If anything, she has a much brighter future than her other Iz*One bandmates being an actress.

  • I can only assume that she was tired of idol life? The kind of rigor that goes into being an idol is completely different from that of being an actress. But tired or not, at least as an idol she would still have a flourishing career. The thing I don't get is why take the risk of going off on her own to pursue acting when she could have done the same as an idol? idols have far better luck at being cast because them being in a popular group almost guarantees whatever production they are in won't completely flop, that and being back by a strong company name like the big4 would have definitely boosted her. Plus, It's obvious HYBE was desperate to sign her, I'm sure she could have negotiated a good compromise if she wanted. Maybe she thought being an Ex-iz*One member would have been enough to help her book gigs, but as of now, the only Ex-iz*One member doing worse than her is probably Chaeyeon. And to think, Minju was among those with the best potential.

Truly a fumble on her part.

  • There's only person in this forum who's obsessed with Mjnju not joining Hybe and we know they're not a hybe stan lol

  • Why do I feel like one of the reasons she didn't join is bc of mbc and their infamous beef with hybe jk

i mean she mcs for mbc's music show + she got casted in mbc's drama lol

I really think she should have accepted hybe's offer

Look at Chaewon. Ofc it's not like Wonyoung, but she still got a couple of posts on Instagram reaching 1 million likes!!! and doing luxury brand endorsements. She would never have gotten that had she stayed with woolim. She would have been like Yuri, Yena or even Eunbi sales and charts wise.

Kazuha is new on the scene and she's doing great. With Hybe connections, Minju easily could have gotten more gigs. Acting in one drama is not a guarantee it will blow up like Junho's historical drama. It can take years like for the lead of the recent hit drama about lawyers. With Lsf she would have been BIG especially internationally, and gotten those acting roles quickly, but now she has to go to castings (i remember reading she does and she got it after a year).

  • what if, and i am just doing an educated guess, what if she just wanna be solo? o-o. if you were in a group before, do you really have to be in another one again? why all these complicated reasoning. its so simple lol

being a public figure sure is hard. cant decide what to do on your own, and even if you did, netizen acting like your parents; this is good for you, that is good for you, laughable

  • I can only assume that she was tired of idol life? The kind of rigor that goes into being an idol is completely different from that of being an actress.

you had the right idea and then lost it. being an idol is tough, physically and mentally, and with her established fanbase, she can prob make the same amount of money as mid tier/lower high tier idols. look at somi rn.

  • In what way is she ruining her own career lol. She's literally starting as an actress which has more longevity as a career and much more respected than an idol. And being an idol limits your audience to mostly teens and young adults, whereas acting in Kdramas and films can expand your fans to people of all ages.
