with a song like this they should be attacking the u.s or a more international market. i guess trying to get kpop stans attention makes sense as the middle ground to reaching an international audience, but they are being wasted in the korean idol scene. this company needs to up the scale. they are serving everything fifth harmony an little mixx were trying so hard to emulate.

  • I do wonder why they do not promote more in Japan.

Both their songs are in English, does that not play well (for small acts) in Japan?

  • I've seen that their company is calling them a global girl group so it feels like they're trying to go direct to the kpop market to help build up their fanbase. It's not a bad idea given their buying + social media power. They're definitely appealing to that audience and that can help them crossover into the western market later.

  • The thing is that they are aiming for global success, the CEO seems to want to expand outside of Japan and bring more people into Jpop as a whole.

Sure but you need to have a base.

If they can be successful in Japan / Korea, then they can expand overseas.

I mean, let the CEO try, it is his money, I wish them luck.

  • also the choreo is a must watch

let us gather around for the lord’s prayer:

Nævis we love you. You are the one who protected me when i was in trouble. MY victory, one SYNK DIVE. I know your sacrifices. Let’s meet surely after the resurrection.

    Æmen

  • Here is how they charted in Japan, not bad for an English song, but is not like they are taking Japan by storm.

I did not see any thing related to Line music streaming.

  • BTW the "weirdness" of this group.

They are a Japanese group, that sings in English, but gets put into the kpop section in international charts.

  • I mean their ceo has this whole interview that he wants to stick it to kpop and show the world jpop is no less.

    His strategy is working

If they started in Japan, ifans wouldn't have give a f about them. So he got them started in SK. But they don't know korean, hence the English song.

  • Not sure about the music, but the group is very talented. Vocals, dance and rap are all on point.

It's impressive that they are doing so well in Japan. Japan does not usually like girl groups with that style. Clearly aiming at an international audience by training at YGX and then promoting in Korea.

I think the producer wants to show that Japanese girl groups can compete directly with Korean groups. Talent-wise he has succeeded, as they could give groups like StayC a challenge. The group needs better music though.
