There are a lot of Korean teenagers who literally has grown with BTS so it's obvious they were interested. You can even see it by the fact that fromis which was hella hated earlier... Now doubled sales, their songs are charting, and group collects wins in music shows.

interestingly enough i haven't seen knets relating newjeans to bts at all. they havent even tried to mediaplay them as "bts' little sister". new jeans def has hybe hype, but there is really something about them that is drawing people in outside of all that
