Feel free to post your thoughts/review of Hobipalooza 2022 in this thread.
My thoughts:
(Prepare yourselves, the word 'fantastic' is used repeatedly).
It was absolutely fantastic. I loved his intro with the big jump onto the stage and out of the box. He has such incredible stage presence and energy, and it did not waver at all throughout the whole set - it really impressed me (no wonder he said he was exhausted!). His vocals, rapping, and dancing were all on point, and I LOVED that it was live... and you knew what was a support backing track. The live band was fantastic. The arrangements of the songs live was fantastic. I genuinely loved hearing every song live - even if it (a particular song) wasn't a favourite having previously listened to it - but live? - I loved it all! Excellent song selections and flow when it came to the set list. Becky G and J-Hope together live? - you guessed it! - it was fantastic! I loved their energy together; they really complemented each other and played off of each other's energy. The choreography and dancers were fantastic. The whole set design was great, including lighting and pyrotechnics. Genuinely, his show impressed me so much. I knew it would be great - but it even blew those expectations that I had out of the water! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and the time flew by so quickly.
Hobi should be very proud because it was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Jung Ho-seok, you are a truly talented performer! Again, I hope he's proud of himself and happy because he should be.
Random side notes:
I loved that they showed aerial shots of the crowd, and especially of downtown Chicago, as a whole; I really enjoyed it because I thought it allowed me as a viewer to get a better understanding of the whole atmosphere (since I sadly wasn't there in person).
I laughed when they showed the 2 girls that brought the 'Yoongi Marry Me' sign. That's another one of those BTS-ARMY inside jokes, so I loved that they managed to broadcast that - and - I loved it even more after finding out that Yoongi watched the live stream on Weverse.
I loved seeing Hobi's genuinely shocked face when the crowd was singing back to him - that was a sweet and endearing moment.
It's wonderful that Jimin was there supporting Hobi in person.
The ONLY downside was that the Weverse stream started crashing often about halfway through. However, close to 15 million people watched it and I got to watch it for free, so I was okay with that. I refreshed my page and moved my cursor back to the parts I missed, so I ended up watching it with a slight delay. Nonetheless, I appreciate the fact that I was able to watch it for free, so thank you to Weverse for that.
