is it entitled to expect users to speak english coherently?

I'm sure a lot of users here don't have English as a first language so I'm pretty lax

No, if you are joining a forum where english is the main language you need to make a bit of sense. Being a "global" site is not excuse

Some ppl speak English with slang depending on where they’re from or how they were raised, you can’t expect everyone to speak like you

As long as I can understand what they say, it's fine. But if I can't, it makes it really hard to have a discussion. I just save myself the effort if it's too hard to understand.

I mean on an english forum, i think you should at least be able to understand what everybody says coherently and I honestly understand getting a bit frustrated a grammar mistakes that make the sentence hard to read but i don't think you should point out negligible grammar mistakes if you can still understand it (like here I'm not even trying with punctuation) and I would say its just better to correct it in your head and move on (unless the person specifically asks for english help)

i don't think they have to be completely fluent. as long as what they're writing can be understood i don't really care

No I don't mind and I don't expect everyone to be able to perfect the English language. As long as I understand the general idea of their message, then it should fine.

That's why I have an embarrassing amount of google searches consisting of me trying to find the actual spelling of a damn word

It's a forum about kpop. You're going to have some non-English users, this is pretty much inevitable. As long as people are understandable, idgaf. And if they're not, just don't respond. Nothing will catch fire if you just have to ignore the occasional post.

I'm ok as long as I can understand the person, and I can't complain much, since my english kinda sucks, I repeat words or I make them rhyme unconsciously, so any mistake that a user might commit, its fine for me

can a person with poor English still communicate to you if so then they've accomplished their purpose

Yes, especially if they’re English speaking. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when people are poor spellers or use incorrect grammar, punctuation. If a person is well educated then it’s expected that they would be good at all manners of English.
