which one is the best measure for overall success : SPOTIFY vs MELON ?

Both represent the success of a group in different regions. I really don't agree with people dragging one over the other.

I think it's pretty obvious for success in Korea = Melon. International success = Spotify.

Top 10 Melon Weekly Chart is the ultimate arbiter of success in Korea.

In the US, i wouldve said it was the Hot 100, but after seeing how much impact radio payola has on that chart, i think the ultimate arbiter of American success is the US Spotify charts.

For global charts, it's either Spotify's Global Chart or Billboard's Global 200.

when a lot of losers with zero success in life talk about your achievements like there where theirs, when this happen you know you made it.

You said overall success and since Spotify covers Korea and the rest of the world VS Melon which only covers Korea, then the obvious answer is Spotify.

International = Spotify

Korea = It's mixed for now, but it will be YouTube Music as they've doubled their marketshare in 1 year.

Melon has lost 20% marketshare in the last couple of years.

International: Spotify

KR: Melon

Spotify had a user base of over 300 million while melon struggles with 5M and is getting left behind by other platforms in its own country. So overall it is Spotify.
