stray kids is most streamed and viewed 4th gen group this year next only to bts,bp and twice and itzy doing great in title songs but overall stray kids above them
-
izone disbandment happened in peak of 3rd gen i didn't exactly known which gen they will be consider
-
Stray kids is #1 right now thats for sure
-
i dont think mixing domestic and domestic is a good way to rank them
because SKZ is the best one of all of them in term of international popularity, but in the group you mention domestically they are the last one
meanwhile a group like Aespa is really big domestically, but they still need a little more time to grow internationnally
I would personally put Itzy #1, considering that they are doing moderately well in korea and are doing well internationally
then TXT because they are doing better than SKZ in korea, not better internationally but they are still doing really good and not too far
then Aespa and SKZ tie as #3 because both of them are doing well in one market, but need more grow in the other one
and then G-idle

YASS
IZ*ONE domestic and international domination
I could post an entire list of their achievements but then you guys will need to scroll so much down the pages so I decided not to

I've always said there should be some method of deciding who and why?
otherwise it's always going to be I think XYZ is better than ABC

stray kids is most streamed and viewed 4th gen group this year next only to bts,bp and twice and itzy doing great in title songs but overall stray kids above them
Itzy own the most streamed 4th gen songs wannabe will hit 200M streams
Skz numbers are good but they are more songs than itzy
Mafia is the 2nd most viewed song by a gg this year
And most streamed song so far by a gg
They spent more days on Spotify daily chart
They are the most certified 4th gen group in streaming without Japanese debut yet
They charted in Canada Hot 100 times the only 4th gen to do so

OK

I think enhypen would make the list
Definitely. Even Border Carnival shown that they are one who look out for. The preorder reached 900k already, they may just race ahead of some of the 4th Gen groups.
That’s what I think. 4th Gen started not so long ago. I said it before we can’t rule out any newer group or future groups from becoming the top 4th Gen groups. You just never know.

All i will say for now is people really underestimate TXTs international stats.
On the note of giving an actual ranking. I'm going to wait for a few groups cbs to do that properly.

Hmm I wonder which group you are biased towards???

What am we basing this off, number of fans or international recognition

OK

that's not really true, enhypen's international popularity is so much bigger
-
That's not true at all
Enhypen has two songs this year with more streams on spotify than Hwaa
Fever with 73M
Drunk-Dazed with 63M
Hwaa has 33M in comparison
Enhypen also charted top 20 on BB200
don't underestimate Enhypen atm... they had a massive blowup in international stats thanks to fever.
This also doesn't even include their JPN stats which for a 11 month old group are crazy

This list is in the wrong order, but I agree with the groups you chose.
1. ITZY (they actually are the most balanced in terms of Korean digital success and charting in Japan and recently on Billboard with Guess Who? and Crazy in Love, recently became one of the few GGs to sell 1M total albums).
2/3. TXT (they perform the best sales-wise outside of Korea, all of their albums have a certification from RIAJ (JPN albums) and KMCA (Korean), not to mention their very good Spotify streams. Digital success in Korea is subpar).
2/3. SKZ (great YT views, great sales but don't outchart TXT in major markets, excellent Spotify performance. Bad korean digitals similar to txt)
4. (G)I-DLE (digitals are decent in Korea, as well as decent physicals. K/DA was a huge boost to their popularity internationally, good spotify streams. Nominated for best K-pop at the VMAs this year.)
5. aespa (too new to pass GIDLE, but they will if their sales grow. International presence is already very good for a k-pop group).

The Enha erasure on this site. That's why they're surpassing your faves.

This is so fucking maddening, it shows how people don't even bother to check their Spotify performance or how they sold in Europe and the US. All people see is their YT views...

like they are legit the bg with the 2nd highest MLs right now on Spotify, the only BG that is not BTS to even chart on US Spotify...... surpassed 1B spotify streams in less than 3 years with a fairly small discography and as you said... their sales in Europe and especially the US show a lot.... They did not chart for 13 weeks on the BB200 and chart a JAPANESE ALBUM on the BB200 for people to underestimate their international stats.

I can be patient, their success will shock people eventually.
Over 3M sales in less than 3 years is crazy and so is 1.1B streams.
If you combined their streams from 2019+2020, that total wouldn't even meet their 2021 streams. Same thing with their sales (2019+2020=1.3M < 2021=1.8M)
