They've been in their safe idol bubble for so long, it ended up hurting them in the end. Sure, gp knows the group, but individually? It's like they know the songs, but not the group members which is why they are doing poorly on the charts individually compared to Blackpink (and no, I'm not a blink). Look at Mino, or any 2nd gen boygroups. They have more general public recognition due to them promoting individually on popular shows or solo cfs, while bts stopped doing after they blew up ww and only do cfs as the group. Imagine what would happen, had they started promoting after dynamite success. As long as they are playing it safe and not training their variety skills, their fans power can only go so far. J-hope needs to be on these shows. They need general public for longevity.

Mino has sold like 200 K of his last two albums total? And he’s promoting with Winner again which is what they always do: got7, Shinee, Bigbang, Superjunior etc.

JK - time will tell. He’s not edgy enough to be a Harry Styles and idk about touring. But a good solid pop career if he collabs with western artists. In korean? Idk.

their fan power took them to heights never ever seen by any kpop group though.

If bts solos are considered as flops, then so are all of your faves solos and a lot of groups tbh
BTS historically has always had stronger international support as opposed to support at home. some idols are bigger stars in SK than internationally (like zico, mino, hwasa, iu etc) but BTS have been and will always be the opposite. They're world stars and their numbers show that.
also everyone had a starting point. their peers started pushing solo in maybe 2018-19, so they're a little behind as far as building gp support. If they want to focus on gp in SK then they'll start doing variety. That's all it will take. RM is still the most well known member to the GP because of his variety appearances in 2015-17.

Idk why do people who don't stan bts think just because he's pretty he'll not do music. He rejected so many songs which were actually good, god knows how good the final work is going to be.
