What's wrong with Sunmi taking over hosting Showterview?

It's the typical cycle of getting attached to one person and refusing to let go

Although it's undeniable that Jessi's unique personality is what made that show and I don't think any other MC will ever be able to keep that flavor that the viewers love.

Do we know why Jessi left the show in the first place? Was she forced out, or did she choose to leave?

It's because Jessi revealed she was replaced without even knowing. She asked for some rest because she was burnt out, something like that. So they found someone else for the job and didn't even tell her. Sunmi is not to blame though.

Jessi wasn't aware of the replacement and was dumbfounded when her fans told her about it, it felt like she thought that she'll continue the show but they ditched her

it is because jessi said she wasn't informed. And the reason people enjoy showterview is because jessi personality is very different from idols so it is interesting to see her interact with idols.

Show will not have the same flavor, but I'm sure Jessi will get more opportunities. She's still hot and trending, and she has shown she can get views. Good luck to Sunmi and Jessi. May they both succeed.

I don't think Sunmi taking over is wrong. I think the producers not being up front and honest about pursuing another host is. That could be difficult..but it would be more professional..so if things don't go exactly how they would like, they could have the option of putting Jessi back on for a future season.

Of course the core energy of the show is going to change. If they end up not getting the same ratings, or better, they are "S.O.L. (sorta out of luck)".
