Could you stan an idol that you didn't think could sing/rap?

It depends. I'm mostly in kpop for music, then variety/personality, so I tend to stand vocalists more often.

But if someone had a personality that I liked and would shine more in other areas, I also see me stanning them

Of course. Kpop is a dance genre, it's not Broadway. Performance skills, personality and on camera charisma, visuals all play a big role.

I care more about personality when it comes to stanning but excelling at something is always a plus

sure, as long as either their stage charisma, dancing, or personality appealed to me enough…kpop isn’t really made for churning out powerhouse vocalists and rappers anyway, so they could be mediocre “technically” and still sound good to me

Majority of the most popular idols are the ones that are not good singers/rappers.

I could. There's a singer I like who can't sing live. It sucks, but the music is good so I pretend I don't know .
