I actually never laid out my personal position on marriage in this thread. I was just listing some benefits on why some people may get married where I live.

I don't agree with Ripia that marriage is somehow worse for men than for women.

I haven't read any scientific studies on comparing the societal effects of marriage on women and men as this topic really isn't an interest of mine.

Personally, I don't really date that much in general. I'm a very private person, with eclectic/eccentric interests. I generally find most people boring and generally most people find me boring.

I'm not actively looking to get married or even to date, but if I have a partner in the future who does want to get married then I would not be opposed to it if it's something they really want to do.

I used to listen to power metal back in the day, for me Metal is like classical music on steroids lol.

I just find it funny. A lot of the more popular concepts with international fans are so called "noise music".

Same people that complain about "noise music" call the cute concepts that are more popular in Korea cringe, or ballads "boring".

But yet they always complain about "noise music". I guess it has more to do with bashing other groups than actually not likening "noise music", they would probably be going slay queens if their faves were making "noise music".

It's easy to do performative comment activism. These people would be the first ones to disappear the second you wanted to take action that required them to actually sacrifice something in their life for there to be a change.

New Jeans gets more threads on here in a day than most groups get in a month lol.

Y'all also have to remember what was considered high or successful physical album sales back then was way different than now.

If you got into Kpop in the last few years you're going to have a very skewed delusional view on past kpop numbers.

There are nugu groups that can't chart digitally or chart in the 100s that sale way way more physical albums than a lot of top groups did 10 years ago.
