So hybe stans logic here is because Hybe literally make this group just to copy everything from Newjeans , try to delete their exsistence with multiple creepy similarities and after Newjeans's parents/MHJ sent a complaint INTERNALLY on April 3rd but to no response, sent again the 2nd complaint on April 16th and still get nothing. Then April 22th Hybe decided to: "fuck this, we gonna use the media to kill her", go all out publicly attack her to death. But suddenly it backfired and now... MHJ is the one to blame??? You need to understand the situation. Not long before that Minji had to apologize publicly over a fucking noodle dish. The ridicule level at that time was unbelievably bad. Eventually Ador had to restrict the comment section for only subscribers after that incident. No way Belift Lab wouldn't know that. The comments section of cuts on that self produced content was full of people mocking Minji aswell. Intentionally or not, Minji and her parents have the right to express their concern.
The brand reputation index is useless but sadly still way too many fans and korean kpop journalists as well take it way too serious. The amount of times I've seen clickbaity articles about X artist beating BTS or another popular artists in the index is just tragic. To me it shows again how terrible kpop journalism is in Korea (not that it's any better anywhere else). I won't rule out that kpop companies actually use it for mediaplay, but then those journalist don't need the companies to be shady or clickbaity with their articles either. The journalists are actually lucky that fans will always look at it as mediaplay from companies while they can just continue making clickbaity articles unbothered. Also have yet to see any prove that brands actually use the index.
As to why NewJeans dropped to such a low position, the reason is simple: negativity. The index flags online engagement into either positive or negative interaction, so with every mention newjeans receives in articles about the Hybe x MHJ conflict it will view it as another negative interaction. That's why when an idol gets into a silly controversy you often see them immediately drop on the index. The index just mirrors the toxic demands people have for kpop idols to keep a clean , perfect image. I'm sure though NewJeans will keep receiving much more (and better) brand offers than the vast majority of girlgroups that ranked higher than them this month.

What do you expect of a company that manage their idols aka humans as gaming products? Koreans pointed out that the whole Hybe board are from former gaming CEOs, notably Park Jiwon who destroyed Korean gaming industry with mass copy oversexualized gacha games. They are now doing exactly like that with HUMANS. Why the fuck should they care if after a few years said groups fall off, they can always product new groups as long as Kpop stans keep sucking them.
