New jeans flop era continues
This is statement will be true for the next 3 years at least.
Their quality fell off big. Regardless of the beef with HYBE, Hype Boy was a fantastic track and a phenomenal debut. I know from statistics ditto seems to be their biggest hit in Korea(?) but their music has gotten worse each comeback. Hope they can ditch MHJ and get some better music and then the world outside of Korea will truly love them once again.
Hybe Boy was great that's real, but pretending newjeans success have anything to do with the quality of the music is delusional, that's not true for any group on hybe. If newjeans had the payola on this year how sweet and supernatural would be just as massive as their previous singles, newjeans was charting on japan at the level of twice and on US at the level of blackpink because of hybe and only hybe.

Some months ago you were crying that newjeans had X amount of songs charting on billboard japan hot 100 to prove they were doing great there and deny they fell off without hybe payola, now you can't do nothing but cope and pretend that's not a relevant point, newjeans were never popular on japan, hybe made you believe that was the case and nothing more.
Go back to your nonsensical and delusional ramblings nobody cares off on the mega thread, stay in that echo chamber of clowns denying reality as much as you can.

The conflict between min hee jin and hybe will be remembered as one of the most impactful moments in kpop history, one of the reasons is the massive consequences it had on newjeans, that not so long ago was in trajectory to be one of the biggest kpop groups of all time. The most immediate effect on newjeans was stopping their continuous, relentless and massive grow they had since debut thanks to all the opportunities hybe money and connections gave them.
The next short term repercussion on their careers was totally vanishing newjeans presence on the US charts, not so long ago newjeans was achieving things in the biggest music market in the world no rookie group could dream off, their fans even boasted about how in no time newjeans will surpass bp charting on that market... well, that aged like milk, the 4 newjeans singles of 2024 failed to enter the US main chart, that would be a routine for them with hybe backing them up.
Right when we here were talking about that, I also made the prediction that same effect will happen to them in japan, it wouldn't be as sudden like in the US case but sooner or later it will happen, and time as always have proved me right. The amount of weeks of newjeans hits on japan before the hybe conflict:
Hybe Boy: 32 weeks
Ditto: 79 weeks
OMG: 59 weeks
Super Shy: 23 weeks
And after the sweet hybe payola was no more:
How Sweet: 14 weeks
Bubblegum: 7 weeks
Supernatural: 14 weeks
Supernatural is still hanging in there but is now at #70 free falling each week, it will be lucky to reach 20 weeks. Newjeans went from having some of the biggest hits of kpop on japan not so long ago to barely chart like any other kpop group overnight, just like it happened in the US market. Hybe payola built an empire for these girls in the 2 biggest markets in the world, and their fans keep boasting about it pretending it was all thanks to newjeans themselves and fighting with anybody that unveiled the truth, but reality is just one and no matter how delusional you are, you can't change it.

Lesserafim, aespa and ive, for what they have achieved and what they can achieve in the long run of their careers, newjeans was too short lived to be seriously considered for it, since they are practically done they have no future and no matter how massive their first 2 years were they are not enough to overcome the long run of the other 3 that also had massive starts, in some years they will feel like a fever dream just like fifty fifty, just a little longer dream, but that's all.
Itzy had really great 3 years but they declined too much after it, gidle really had 2ish good years at the end of their first 7 years but is not enough to compensate.

This forum is dying bc mods can’t help but insert themselves into everything. Just looking at the tokkis guild and half of us are either banned or have gone MIA. When randkpopstan was banned, the hit threads on akp disappeared, and no one filled his place to stir things up with newjeans. Whether positive or negative, engagement is everything to a forum’s survival.
Crazy how my warming up thread about newjeans got taken down after some hours without explanation or actual motives, it was pretty tame and harmless, it just disappeared, and I have been too busy to make some more, mods need to chill a bit.

Your literally a twice fan.. they are the queens of lip syncing, BP has always performed with a track like the majority of KPOP artists.. like what are you even saying.
Blackpink is the group that lip syncs the most in kpop to the point most of their concerts with tickets that cost thousands of dollars is just them lip syncing and being lazy and unsynchronized on stage, this lisa shitty performance is no a surprise for anybody except delusional blinks, and she did better than the average bp performance, crazy.

I predicted this will happen the moment the conflict was revealed but people called me a madman and keep deluding themselves that newjeans was too valuable for hybe to do this, I will say this forever, what made newjeans that valuable on the first place was hybe and at a moments wish they could take most of that value away... and that is exactly what is happening now. Newjeans is done, over, finished, they getting out of hybe tomorrow or next year is irrelevant to that fact but I doubt it will happen soon.

No one cares about a group getting 100k unique listeners on melon, 40K on genie and less in the others, those numbers were not good 7 years ago and still today are not, even if they get you a top 20 in current korean charts. Korean charts are pointless because look a newjeans, doing good there but flopping on spotify and everywhere else, qwer is a nugu group that charts good on korea but is still a nugu group nonetheless.
