This is pretty amazing, barely 30 days or so of actual service

If this push through and approved, then BTS can now stop thinking about military and get it over with. They can even focus more on their solo works while having less pressure of thinking about the uncertainties of BTS. A world tour will finally be possible!
I'm just a bit worry of how people will take it if it really happens. BTS will get more backlash than Son for sure.

So, this is what Son Heungmin did in the military. Apparently, they can still keep the profits (if ever) except when they have to do community service. Read the correct english translation of the article.

OP is a solo who opposes the idea of military exemption bc they think it will hinder their bias’ solo growth.
Tmikpop explains it better. Exemptions are for qualified males where they perform alternate service instead of active duty. These individuals go to 4-5 weeks of bootcamp and then perform around 500 hours of community service TOTAL over a period of three years. When they want to soften the blow in media: they call this a thing, “alternate service”.
I cant embed, so: https://twitter.com/tmikpop/st…&t=Ay_R91fb0tEPbh1UZK-dPQ
Also: busan mayor just gave another phone interview this morning to reinforce why alternate service is needed, so they can perform their tasks as ambassador peacefully. They cant skip active duties unless they want their fellow soldiers to be jealous. Some people said it’s for the best. And frankly no strong reaction from the public, the reaction yesterday showed a lot of GP dgaf, most probably are well aware bangtan deserves it.
It's mostly the loud knetz incels who are so against it. Majority of Koreans dgaf or are neutral about it. I saw some street interview and that's what I gathered.

Goodluck guys. I manifested for y'all.

Okay. Let's say miraculously the government gave them the exemption...after this, then what?
BTS will be heavily scrutinize by the korean public especially the knetz incels whenever BTS did something. More pressure, more burnout. Plus, the government will just make BTS their official 'puppets'.
Just give 'special' alternatives like shortening their military. Maybe just go for a year instead of 18 months? In this way, the backlash is not severe.

I understand that but also that there's lots of disgruntled former idols and idols who have moved on and whatnot
and NDA clauses generally have time limits or set periods like they don't last forever (to my albeit limited knowledge)
it's just interesting that no idols has come out to publicly say this was in my contract etc etc
They might spill some tea like bad experiences in the company or like the insight of what they earned for certain revenue like albums or something, but don't expect them to spill the whole tea. A CNBLUE member actually spilled what he got when they were active. Some ex-idols also revealed some insights in the industry when it comes to contracts & profit sharing. You can see it on YouTube. Or just check out TVXQ's old contract with SM.
-
of course but what about artists that were disgruntled or even long after their contracts had expired there must be a lot of former idols that could reveal such information no? or maybe they still get along with with said company and choose not to...
Contracts have NDA clause. It's not like they can just say anything.
-
It's literally a contract between the artists & their company. The public has no rights to this matter. The bottom-line is the bigger the group the bigger their negotiation power is. And what % they get in their revenue streams will only be revealed unless artists sued the company like profit disputes or related to money. Just look up TVXQ's contract that was 'leaked' by the court when they sued SM.

HYBE is so inconsistent in their claims, It's peak clownery.
I hope they got wake up call from all the criticism. They messed up JITB roll out and couldn't maximize Its charting/sales potential due to no CD album. It's not like people were asking for 20 versions? Would releasing 1 regular album kill our dear Mother Earth? How about at least applying same standards to all their acts or are BTS guinea pigs and Weverse Album app ambassadors?
They should continue using eco-friendly materials for upcoming albums and give them same energy as group releases.
They keep contradicting their statements which I find so ironic & funny 😁

All of this for a photo folio... Please help me when the actual album drops...
Manifesting it's not a Weverse album like the JITB mess 💀 Still not ready for JK's solo omg

In general, woke people are extremely 'opinionated' on social media platforms and terminally ill online criticizing everything. It just so happened that kpop stans fall into these categories. They kinda remind me of QAnon.
Not to mention, they use kpop as an outlet to pour all their personal problems irl. Be it anger, frustration or unwarranted personal opinion and express it in a way that ties themselves to their online identity of stanning a kpop group. That's why you see many stans taking everything around kpop too seriously. It's as if everything around them revolves in kpop.
It's annoying tho. Kpop is all about entertainment and music is for our enjoyment. It's not meant to be microanalyse and all that shit.
Edit: I also forgot to mention that kpop fans as a whole are easily triggered and sensitive. So these traits contribute to being 'woke' online.
