I knew that Eric is an ahgase (and friends with Mark!) but I didn't know that all the members went to a Got7 concert predebut! A korean aghase took the photos because she recognised Haknyeon from Produce 101.
@keaji have you seen this?! -

honestly, they have some great b-sides and I like their fantasy concept but the vocal processing and autotune does them no favours. I think they would sound much better if their natural vocal tones could shine through the music.
I enjoyed their latest album (frost and anti-romantic are my fave tracks!) -
NCT 127 - Cherry Bomb, the choreography is iconic

Usually international fans think 'gp friendly' songs are bright, often cute concepts, or ballads, songs that are easy to sing a long to with a beat that isn't "noisy".
When Aespa's Next Level was released it was described it as experimental, disjointed (some said it felt like two songs put together), but it has become a stable high charting hit in Korea! Not your typical gp friendly hit.
So what do you consider as 'gp friendly' music? -

I think Treasure is doing well as kpop group but as a YG group the pressure and expectations are very high considering the stats of their seniors when they debuted.

stray kids haven’t had a comeback in like nine months. their popularity shot up to the roof after gods menu and back door so i wouldn’t ignore them especially when they even recently won at kingdom. i think we could be looking at 1M sales their next comeback. internationally they’ll do amazing, but domestically i’m still not sure of where they’d stand. i think it’s safe to say that they have the biggest fanbase internationally followed by txt and then enhypen (still don’t know where treasure goes tbh). domestically it’s definitely txt and then the boyz.
the thing with 4th gen is that there is still no leading group. they keep beating each other every comeback so it’s hard to see which one is at the top. completely unlike 3rd gen where exo blew up in their second year and kept widening the gap between them and their peers until bts rose to the top. i think it’s too early to make such bold claims and just wait at least a few years until the gap between boy groups in this era becomes apparent
I agree that there's no one definitive '4th gen leader', there's multiple top 4th gen bgs and they all exceed in different areas (internationally, domestically, album sales, digitally)

I think it's probably TXT if we take into account the international and domestic fandoms
